We started preliminary rehearsals for NOW I GET IT in August of this year. Good thing we did, as we've had to make a casting change already.

Plays, especially musicals, evolve, so we're adding a couple of new characters to this new version of the the show.

For those who might have forgotten or are not familiar with the story line of this show, just click on NOW I GET IT, here in the navigation bar, then scroll down to the trailer and click on it.

For those who have and are following the progress of the show, this new version of NOW I GET IT, will, for lack of a better way of describing it, include flashback sequences featuring young adult versions of one of the couples in the show. No additional lines have been added, we just took the lines and lyrics already written and broke them up between the older and younger actors playing the older and younger versions of the characters. Yeah, I know... I probably made that sound a lot more complicated that it actually is.

As soon as we have the younger role of Don Kettleman cast, we'll do a blog announcing the already cast and newly cast, actor doing that role.

Headed up by Founder, Michael Maisano (more on him in our next blog), the goal is to feature the talents of works exclusively written/directed by veterans.

SILENT SURVIVORS/FRONTLINE THEATRE just finished performing METAL OF HONOR RAG, written by Tom Cole.

It's based on Vietnam war, Medal of Honor recipient, Sgt. Dwight Johnson; and deals with survivors guilt. The show's run was successful and a great introduction of SILENT SURVIVOR/FRONTLINE THEATRE to the Phoenix Valley Community Theatre and Veteran community, communities.

I'll be directing the next production...

Written by Award Winning playwright and screen writer, AND Navy veteran, Charles Evered.

IMDB his body of work... there's no doubt he's been around, worked with some heavy weight people, and he damn sure knows what he's doing!

Charles wrote the One Act - a comedy --just after 9/11. As funny as it is, it is also every bit as poignant. For those of you living in the Phoenix Valley...

Plans are in the works to do NOW I GET IT in November of next year!

We're also encouraging any and all military veteran playwright, actors, and tech people, living in the Phoenix Valley, to touch base with us. Let's put our heads together and come with something created by and featuring the talents of those of us with a DD-214... there needs to be more of us out here. there, EVERYWHERE, working our craft!

As always... thanks for taking the time to ready my blog!
